Magic Malik is a distinctive artist whose enchanted flute always stands out, whether on stage touring with artists such as -M- or Camille, on St Germain’s “Black Rose”, or on Steve Coleman’s most innovative records… He was Liban Jazz's first guest in 2005 when his “orchestra” dazzled the audience during a marathon concert which, after numerous encores, lasted over two and a half hours. “Tranz Denied” – a beautiful mix of pop, electro and jazz – takes electronic pop to a whole other level. Malik sings and plays various instruments (flute, keyboards, bass, guitar, senza…) while sharing the stage with the Tranz Denied ensemble: DJ Oil behind the decks, Gilbert Nouno on electronics and Hubert Motteau on drums. Expect a very impressive live show, with vocal prowess and unusual instruments, celebrating trance and the denial of trance.
